Fudgy Chocolate Protein Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup chocolate protein powder (I recommend using a whey/casein blend for the best texture)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional, for extra chocolatey goodness)
Instructions:
Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats and chocolate protein powder. Mix well to evenly distribute the protein powder.
Add the Wet Ingredients:
Add the creamy peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until everything is well combined. The mixture should be thick and sticky.
Fold in the Chocolate Chips (if using):
If you want extra chocolate flavor, fold in the mini chocolate chips. They’ll add a delightful crunch and sweetness.
Shape into Cookies:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Scoop out portions of the dough (about 2 tablespoons each) and roll them into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Flatten each ball slightly with your fingers or the back of a fork.
Bake:
Bake the cookies for approximately 10-12 minutes or until they’re set and slightly firm to the touch.
Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy!:
Once cooled, these fudgy chocolate protein cookies are ready to satisfy your sweet tooth. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
These cookies are not only delicious but also packed with protein. Feel free to customize by adding nuts, dried fruit, or coconut flakes. Happy baking! 😊👍
